IN HIS SON
"In these last days, (God) has spoken to us in His Son."
Hebrews 1:2
Think back to those awkward days in junior high. Did you ever have a "crush" on someone but lack the courage or opportunity to tell them of your feelings? It's hard to get up, walk over to someone, and say face-to-face, "I think I like you very much."
The fear of rejection or ridicule can paralyze us. I know of one person whose fear of rejection from his current high school friend caused him to interpret the busy signal on her phone when he called a proof positive that she didn't want to talk with him!
What a different way God has of expressing His love! While those of old had to rely on Judges, Prophets and Kings to tell them about God, we get to learn firsthand of God through His Son. God actively seeks to reveal His love for us, directly through His Son. No clearer revelation could ever be.
| Thank You, Lord, for taking the active step to reveal Yourself through Your Son.
